Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining the computer systems and networks for faculty, staff, and students. The IT Technician candidate must have strong technical skills, and the capacity to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.


  • Setting up and configuring workstations, computers, and peripheral devices like printers and routers.
  • Installing and troubleshooting software and applications to ensure functionality.
  • Developing and maintaining the college’s local networks for optimal performance.
  • Ensuring the security and privacy of the college’s computer systems and networks.
  • Providing training and guidance to faculty, staff, and students on using new software and equipment.
  • Performing troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
  • Maintaining detailed records of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the College Management and Governing Council.

Qualifications / Experience

  • First degree/ HND in computer science, computer engineering, information communication technology or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications like CompTIA A+ are advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of computer support experience.
  • Proficiency in operating systems like Windows and macOS, as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of networking, virtual/remote desktop applications, and VoIP
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Applicant must not be more than 45 years old.
  • The ability to lift and move equipment that is more than 30kg.
  • Have strong organizational skills.
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills.
