MEDICAL PSYCHOLOGY LECTURER

Position Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the College. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, excellent pedagogical skills, and a passion for mentoring students.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Medical Psychology to students.
  • Conduct research in Medical Psychology, publish papers in reputable journals, and present at conferences.
  • Supervise and mentor students in their research projects.
  • Participate in college-level committees and contribute to the development of academic programs of the college.
  • Engage in community service and outreach activities related to Medical Psychology.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of college policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure the smooth operation of the college.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the College Management and Governing Council.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Preferred first degree in Medical Psychology or a related field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Applicant must have post graduate diploma in education (PGDE) or professional diploma in education (PDE).
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Strong research and publication record in Medical Psychology.
  • Experience in curriculum development and academic administration.
  • Strong communication, pedagogical and interpersonal skills.
  • Membership in professional associations related to Medical Psychology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong commitment to academic excellence and student development.
  • Be proficient in computer skills.
  • Applicant must not be more than 45 years old.
