Biology Lecturer Employment Opportunity



Position Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Microbiology Lecturer to join our faculty. Successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in microbiology, advising students, and contributing to the growth and development of the College.


  • Develop and teach students in microbiology, including lectures, laboratory activities and seminars.
  • Design and implement engaging and effective teaching methods to promote student learning and understanding.
  • Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi, curriculum and assessments.
  • Conduct original research in microbiology and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and researchers to advance knowledge in the field.
  • Mentor and supervise students in research projects.
  • Participate in college service activities, such as committee work and curriculum development.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay current with advancements in the field.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the College Management and Governing Council.


  • Bachelor of sciences (BSc) in Microbiology. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Applicant must have post graduate diploma in education (PGDE) or professional diploma in education (PDE).
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at college level.
  • Excellent communication, pedagogical and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Track record of research and publication in the related field.
  • Ability to design and implement engaging and effective teaching methods.
  • Be proficient in basic computer skills.
  • Applicant must not be more than 45 years old.
