Position Summary

The college is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Statistics Lecturer to join our esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in statistics courses, conducting research, and contributing to the growth and development of our college.


  • Teach statistics course to college students.
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality teaching environment that fosters student engagement and learning.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic and professional matters.
  • Conduct original research in statistics and related fields, with a focus on publishing in top-tier academic journals.
  • Participate in college committees, such as curriculum development and assessment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of college policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the College Management and Governing Council.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Statistics or a related field (e.g., Biostatistics, Mathematical Statistics, Data Science).
  • Applicant must have post graduate diploma in education (PGDE) or professional diploma in education (PDE).
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience at the college level.
  • Strong research background and publication record in top-tier academic journals.
  • Excellent pedagogical and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skill, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in statistical software packages such as R, Python, or SAS among others.
  • Strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Applicant must not be more than 45 years old.
